The Bell at Sapperton
Lovers of a long country walk will find an ideal resting place at The Bell. Sitting just off the Wysis Way outside Sapperton you can work up an appetite. No matter what the weather decides to do The Bell has something for you. Celebrate the sun in the Cotswold pub garden or take advantage of the covered courtyard. It’s a beautiful setting in a quiet spot where you can gather and soak in the peace and quiet.
The Frogmill
Summer at The Frogmill is a real garden party. Every month they host a themed take over from Ibiza parties to a truly authentic Texan BBQ. As the sun sets over the Cotswold horizon and live music fills the air, you can relax with a perfectly chilled glass of wine. It’s the perfect way to end a busy week! Set just outside Andoversford where the River Coln flows gently by you can watch the old water wheel as it turns.
The Farmer’s Dog
Well-known for its focus on British grown, Jeremy Clarkson’s country pub celebrates its surroundings. Order a glass of Hawkstone and settle in alongside the view from the edge of the Cotswolds, just outside popular Burford. There is no better place to lose a few hours as you watch the ever-changing scenery and chat with friends. And don’t worry if the pub is really busy, just outside is the Farmer’s Puppy where you can pick up a pint and a burger.
The Lamb
Get a taste of quiet Cotswold life at The Lamb, a modern country pub in the village of Shipton-under-Wychwood. After wandering the quiet streets passing quintessentially Cotswold cottages head to the pub for a warm welcome and a delicious meal al fresco. Charlbury is the epitome of Cotswold market town charm. Using produce from celebrated Dalesford Organic with wood-fired pizzas on their menu, you can really get away from it all. Choose between the terrace or head down to the huge orchard garden which has its own bar! Find the secret wildflower garden, family games and try one of their much-loved tequila cocktails. The Fleece Inn
This National Trust owned pub in Bretforton is a historic delight with beamed ceilings, open fires and lots of personality. A sublime apple orchard garden could not be a better setting for a refreshing pint of cider and you will often be accompanied by some live music, Morris dancers, or an asparagus auction! It’s a charming pub and you will be sure to spend many hours here, chatting to the locals and soaking in the atmosphere.
