Overview

Angels’ Folly tells a story of the Cotswolds. Once part of a 16th century stable block its exposed beams, stone fireplace and Tack Room bedroom immerse you in your surroundings. Sitting amongst charming cottages in Bourton-on-the-Hill you can easily explore on foot and get to know this beautiful area.

The love and attention to detail which has gone into creating Angels’ Folly is evident as soon as you step inside. Each corner has been carefully curated with colourful fabrics and unique art from the sitting area to the bathrooms. Spend time together in the open plan living area, a sociable space where food can be served at the kitchen bar and you can spend a night in by the fire. Upstairs two elegant king-size bedrooms await. The master bedroom is inspired by a tack room and has a sliding stable door hiding the en-suite. Bedroom two is finished in hues of dusky pink and looks across the back garden.

Make the most of the garden at Angels’ Folly, dine outside, lounge with a good book and pick apples straight from the tree. Sharing access with the neighbours you have your own private half for an undisturbed break.

Angels Folly was exactly what we were hoping for during our Cotswolds getaway. Nestled in a peaceful and quaint setting, it provided the perfect backdrop for our trip. The location is absolutely stunning, with picturesque views that truly capture the charm of the area. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that our hosts had thought of everything! The complimentary snacks, delicious food, and delightful selection of wine were much appreciated and added a personal touch to our stay. The decor is simply adorable, emanating that classic Cotswolds style, and the entire space was unbelievably clean and comfortable. The owner, was amazing!! She was incredibly helpful, offering clear instructions and fantastic local recommendations that enhanced our experience. Her attention to detail made our stay even more enjoyable. I can't recommend Angels Folly highly enough! It has everything we wanted and more, and I can’t wait to return for another trip someday!

Not suitable for older visitors

Verified Up Front Reviews
Angels` Folly has wonderfully modern fittings and furnishings. I feel a mention should be made in its description though that it is not really suitable for older guests. We are fit 70 year olds, but found the stairs very difficult and dangerous. A fixed handrail instead of a rope is definitely needed. Plus a grip handle at the top of stairs. Also great care must be taken walking outside because of the amount of steps.

Recently renovated property, I think we were the fourth to stay. Really well done. It is a real cottage feel inside and out that matches the area. The train station is only 2.5 miles away and the proximity to some of the great villages, pubs, and picturesque countryside that is open to numerous walking trails. With a Michelin star restaurant less than .25 miles away, this is a hidden gem in the Cotswolds. We will refer friends and come back!
